1. LJMU relaunches campaign for respect on campus

   LJMU management is relaunching its Respect Always campaign with a lunch and town hall event on March 2.

2. Women in Professional Services event: Wednesday 12 October 2022

   Staff are invited to the first face-to-face networking event organised by the Women in Professional Services (WPS) Network, taking place on Wednesday 12 October 2022 at the Student Life Building with guest speaker Dawn Corker.

   A new 1.7m multinational research project - TIMED - is led by LJMUs Dr Ruth Ogden, who shared her thoughts with us.

4. Inclusive Allyship Programme (In Association With The Challenging Racism Webinar Series)

   Following the Challenging Racism Collaborative Campaign (webinar series), the University of Kent, Liverpool John Moores University and City, University of London are working with Inclusive Employers to deliver a virtual, Inclusive Allyship Programme.

5. Improving PGT student identity and their experience through understanding their expectations on entry – the findings from an 11 University HEFCE funded project

   The seminar will provide an opportunity for exploration through some of the findings from the HEFCE funded project.

6. New EDI Workshops Announced – Domestic Abuse Awareness & ‘Actions Speak Louder’ Allyship Training 

   LJMU's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team are proud to be working in partnership with a number of subject specialists, to deliver a range of interactive (online) staff development training opportunities, including the introduction of two brand new courses; a 2 hour Domestic Abuse Awareness Workshop and a 90min 'Actions Speak Louder' Experiential Allyship (Race) training session, as well as the return of LJMU's 3 hour Transgender Awareness Workshop (back by popular demand).

7. International Day of Elimination of Racial Discrimination

   To mark the day, Marie Hie, JMSU's Black and Asian Minority Ethic Student Officer, talks about LJMU's reciprocal mentoring scheme and how we can all contribute to reducing inequalities
