   During the summer, IT services will be delivering an upgrade to Microsoft Office and Google Chrome will become the default browser.

5. Sensor City moves into Liverpool Science Park ahead of launch

   Liverpool’s Sensor City project has moved into Liverpool Science Park (LSP) ahead of the opening of its official home at Copperas Hill in 2017. Established hi-tech sensor businesses, start-ups and graduate entrepreneurs from across the region will be able to get access to leading experts and world-class research from the field of sensor technologies and learn more about how they can benefit from Sensor City in the run up to the building’s opening in July 2017.

6. Premier League match officials receive expert support from LJMU sport scientists

   Four Premier League professional match officials are receiving strength and conditioning training and physiotherapy sessions with LJMU sport scientists, under a new partnership.

7. Start-up funding opportunity for new student businesses

   The LJMU Start-up Hub is excited to announce that the new Bathgate Boost award is now open! The £500 award is designed to support students who can demonstrate their business idea. Sitting alongside this funding is a package of support from the Start-up Hub team built around developing your start-up and skills as an entrepreneur. The award is open to all current LJMU students and new alumni who graduated from LJMU during 2023.

8. Professional Services Conference 2020 - call for submissions extended

   The main theme of this conference is 'Continuous Improvement: the Art of the Possible'. In response to positive feedback from last year's conference, we again welcome submissions on the sub-theme of Health and Wellbeing.
