1. Data protection related policy updates

   Four data protection related policies have been updated and can now be found on the LJMU Policy Centre.

2. Professorship and Readership Conferment 2022: Call for submissions

   Each year applications are invited for the conferment of Professorships and Readerships and the process for 2022 is now open.

3. Summer graduation 2024

   This July, LJMU celebrated the achievements of 5,341 students who graduated across 15 ceremonies at Liverpool Cathedral.

4. International Women's Day: digital finance research for women and minority groups in Nigeria

   This International Women’s Day we’re highlighting one of LJMU’s latest research projects led by Dr Alison Lui, Reader in Corporate and Financial Law, as well as events happening across campus.

5. Disability History Month: We caught up with the Staff Disability Network's Lucie Matthew-Jones

   Julia Daer, EDI Advisor, caught up with Lucie Matthew-Jones Reader, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Event Coordinator & Community Liaison for the Staff Disability Network in preparation for Disability History Month.

6. National Teaching Fellowship awarded to Dr Craig Hammond

   LJMUs Dr Craig Hammond, a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education, has been recognised for his outstanding impact on student outcomes and the teaching profession in higher education, with a National Teaching Fellowship.

7. Launch of Men's Staff Network

   The Men’s Staff Network will provide a space for colleagues to celebrate the positive contributions and achievements of men; raise awareness of the issues affecting men and boys and the associated impacts on wider society and offer opportunities for formal and informal networking and mentoring.

8. Give out Wellbeing Journals to all your students in your Personal Tutor meetings

   Copies of the new 2022-23 Wellbeing Journal are now available for all students, and academic staff are being encouraged to hand them out at their first personal tutor meetings with students.

9. Staff Governor vacancy

   The Secretariat is now seeking expressions of interest from eligible candidates to represent Professional Services as a Staff Governor member of the Board of Governors.

10. Academic Board vacancies

    The Secretariat is now taking expressions of interests from eligible candidates for two vacancies on the Academic Board, a Directorate and a Professoriate member.
