The Institute for Health Research integrates health and health-related research across all Faculties at LJMU and key external partners.
Dr Sasha Kosanic is an interdisciplinary scientist whose research focuses on answering complex questions about climate change and the impact it is having on nature and societies. She is also an advocate for inclusion in education, as a former Paralympian and a scientist living with Cerebral Palsy, she looks to highlight inequalities wherever she finds them and to drive forwards change in research and academia.
Research interests within the Health and Wellbeing Research Theme focuses on the psychological aspects of illness, health and healthcare delivery. Faye is a 2023 graduate of LJMU, having studied law. She had, at times, a challenging experience at university, discovering she had dyslexia and a degenerative condition that impacted on her memory and conversation. But she showed resilience, courage and determination, with support from her family and LJMU, to successfully complete her studies.
