1. New Bicentenary film celebrates Graduation

   As LJMU continues its Bicentenary year, the next in a series of bespoke videos has been released, this time recognising the amazing achievement and celebration that is graduation at LJMU.

2. LJMU launches Sustainable Development Goals hub

   LJMU is outlining its commitment to the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a microsite which highlights the research and knowledge exchange, student experience and place and partnership activities, that showcase the university’s ongoing journey towards a more sustainable, prosperous future for local communities and the whole planet.

3. Liverpool leaders share learnings from Reciprocal Mentoring

   The project, which began 14 months ago, saw leaders from across LJMU’s ELT paired with Black and ethnic minority Liverpool city leaders to share their lived experiences and inform policy and decision making at the university and beyond.

4. LJMU business partnership rated outstanding

   A partnership between LJMU and a major civil engineering firm has been independently rated as outstanding after transforming its business model, generating growth and making progress towards net zero.

6. ICC to research civic engagement and impact of arts organisations

   The Institute for Cultural Capital (ICC), a collaboration between LJMU and the University of Liverpool, is conducting research to establish the role arts organisations play in their communities and nationally.

7. Researchers shortlisted for prestigious Newton Prize

   Read how Dr Zhigang Ji and Dr Trung Thanh Nguyen from the LJMU Department of Maritime and Mechanical Engineering have been shortlisted for the 2017 Newton Prize.

8. Maritime law lecturer named in top 100 list of women in shipping

   Anna Kaparaki, a lecturer in maritime law with LJMU, has been named in the list for the fifth consecutive year.

9. Students and staff celebrate Ramaday and join together for Iftar

   Staff and students from across the university, both muslim and non-muslim, came together to break their fast (iftar).

10. Improving how medicines are managed in the NHS

    The first research collaboration in the UK between a hospital, university and community pharmacist is taking place through a unique project from LJMU, the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust and LloydsPharmacy.
