4. LJMU Climate Research Institute

   Staff are invited to attend a second workshop focussed on the proposed LJMU Climate Research Institute. It follows the successful design sprint session held in December, in which colleagues with research interests in the area met to begin scoping out the planned institute.

5. Peter's tweets unite global therapy community

   A lecturer who built links among therapists and counsellors on Twitter has been recognised for his efforts with a national award.

6. Revised new student welcome webpages now live

   Staff are encouraged to take a look through the information we are sharing with new students before the start of the 2023/24 academic year.

7. In memorium: Gaynor Holmes

   The university is saddened to report the death of Gaynor Holmes who will be known to many staff for her long years of service in HR.

8. LJMU supporting local people in need

   LJMU has donated £13,000 to a local charity to support people across Liverpool who need emergency food parcels.

9. Galaxy Zoo allows public to zoom in on Universe discoveries

   Researchers at the LJMU Astrophysics Research Institute have recently joined Galaxy Zoo, a 'citizen science' driven astronomy project.
