1. Complete the Student Lifestyle and Health Survey 2024

   Each year we run this survey, it only takes 10 minutes to complete and asks you a range of questions from how much sleep you get, to if you get anxious and how often you feel stressed.

2. New and updated diversity and inclusion policies

   The Employment Committee has recently approved a new diversity and inclusion policy and guidance document, as well as amendments to an existing policy.

3. Public arts visionary leads lecture at Liverpool School of Art and Design

   LJMU welcomed Helen Marriage, the Co-founder and Director of Artichoke arts production company, to its first Luminary Lecture of 2022.

4. LJMU appoints Julia Midgley as Bicentenary year Artist in Residence

   Julia has a long history of connections with the university and will record events throughout 2023 in documentary drawing and watercolour sketches.

5. Honorary Fellowship: Ann Marr

   Liverpool John Moores University awards Honorary Fellowship to Ann Marr at Liverpool Cathedral on Friday 15 July 2016.

6. International arts festival will launch the new Liverpool Fabric District

   An international festival of art, music and performance featuring world firsts will be taking place in May to celebrate the launch of the Fabric District in Liverpool.

7. First-of-its-kind Jamaican art exhibition opening in Liverpool

   The first exhibition of wholly Jamaican art to be displayed in North-West England will find its home in Liverpool this spring. The exhibition has been curated by Dr Emma Roberts, Associate Dean for Global Engagement for the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies at LJMU.

8. Reflecting on honest conversations about race and equality

   Vice-Chancellor Professor Mark Power and one of his reciprocal mentors, Labour MP for Liverpool, Riverside, Kim Johnson, reflect on some of their discussions over the past 18 months; how their upbringing has shaped them into who they are today, if Reciprocal Mentoring works and what learnings they will take with them beyond the programme.

9. Bicentenary year Artist in Residence drawings to be exhibited on campus

   Julia Midgley: Bicentenary Sketchbook - A Window on LJMU's 200th Anniversary Year will go on public display from Monday 18 March for an extended run until Friday 5 April at the John Lennon Art and Design Building.

10. Health and Safety policy updates

    A number of Health and Safety policies have been amended and approved by the Health and Safety Committee.
