8. LJMU postgraduate Sport Psychology programme first of only three in country to gain BASES accreditation

   The School of Sport & Exercise Sciences at LJMU is one of only three universities to have its MSc Sport Psychology course accredited by professional body, the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).

   International specialists in the field of sport coaching at LJMU visited Malta earlier this month as they delivered face-to-face teaching components of the inaugural postgraduate programme.

10. Sport science students make an impact with nearly 15,000 hours of placements

    From community sports clubs that support people with special educational needs to premier league football clubs, 173 students have undertaken 14,730 hours of work-based placements this academic year.
