1. LJMU Lecturer wins national Asian Women of Achievement Award

   Dr Pooja Saini, LJMU Lecturer in Psychology, won the Public Service Award at the Asian Women of Achievement Awards 2018.

   For the fourth lecture in LJMU's Athena Lecture Series, three speakers from STEMM and non STEMM backgrounds presented to a packed lecture theatre comprising academics, students, professionals and Year 9 pupils from four local schools.

   Senior Lecturer in English Literature & Cultural History Dr Nadine Muller has been named one of this year’s Rising Star Engagement Award winners by the British Academy.

4. Judges say student will inspire others

   An ‘inspirational’ student midwife at LJMU has been awarded Student Midwife of the year award at The Royal College of Midwives (RCM) Annual Midwifery Awards 2016.

5. LJMU Lecturer Dr Robert Macdonald wins Design in Mental Health Network Award

   An LJMU Lecturer at the Liverpool School of Art and Design, Dr Robert Macdonald, has won the Design in Mental Health Network Award (DIMHN) for his contribution to local mental health services.

6. LJMU lecturer and terrorism expert advises Police on anti-terror policies

   LJMU is proving to be a pioneering voice in shaping police policy around terrorism and protecting young people from radicalisation in the region. Dr David Lowe, senior lecturer at the School of Law and leading expert on counter-terrorism has been working closely with Merseyside Police HQ, presenting at their recent Prevent Seminar, while assisting with guidance on law and policy issues more generally.

7. Upcoming Professorial Inaugural Lecture Series

   The next series begins in November 2022 with Professor Trung Thanh Nguyen from LJMU’s School of Engineering.

8. Roscoe Lecture Series returns in our bicentenary year

   We are delighted to confirm the return of our ever-popular Roscoe Lecture Series, in this our special bicentenary year. There will be three Roscoe lectures in 2023 in March, May and October.

9. Maritime law lecturer named in top 100 list of women in shipping

   Anna Kaparaki, a lecturer in maritime law with LJMU, has been named in the list for the fifth consecutive year.
