   As the assessment period draws to a close, for most of our students this month and teaching finishes for the academic year, here are four ways to spend your summer.

2. Support for transgender and non-binary students

   We now have dedicated information on our student support webpages, for transgender and non-binary students, to find out how to get help and support while at university, as well as requesting a name change via LJMU.

3. Workshops for researchers now available to book for 2024

   Further workshops will take place throughout 2024 aimed at researchers and postgraduate researchers (PGRs) to enhance how they manage their research data.

4. Green app can help save £100 a month in travel costs

   Liverpool City Region residents could save up to £100 each month by swapping car journeys for bike rides or walks according to data from a new mobile app being launched this week.

5. Impact: LJMU low carbon centre showcases best university practice

   Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory selected by OECD to share learnings on impact on sustainability of Higher Education and research institutes.

6. Training materials now available on Canvas for CourseLoop

   The CourseLoop Canvas resource has short video guides on how to get started in addition to information if you require additional help and support.

8. Law Students Take Part in Mock Employment Tribunal Event

   As part of LJMU's School of Law ethos to provide students with career-shaping opportunities, students recently participated in a mock employment tribunal at Liverpool Town Hall. The event allowed students to experience the inner workings of an Employment Tribunal and observe the skills and knowledge needed as they progress towards their careers in the legal sector. The students were able to experience a simulated trial thanks to the teams at Brabners, 9 St John Street Chambers and Adaptable Recruitment.

9. Exam timetable now live

   Exam timetables are now live for the semester two assessment period 2023.

10. School of Law debates Ukraine invation

    The School of Law held a discussion day on Tuesday on Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine for people to learn more about the legal context of the war.
