1. Art and research project with FACT and those affected by the UK justice system unveiled

   Dr Emma Murray, Reader in Military Veteran Studies at LJMU and Criminologist-in-Residence at FACT has been a long-term collaborator on the project.

2. Spring graduation 2024

   This April, LJMU celebrated the achievements of 2,678 students who graduated across eight ceremonies at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral.

3. March is Library Fest

   Library Services are gearing up for an exciting lineup of events this March as part of Library Fest 2024. There’ll be a range of exciting activities taking place from book swaps to poetry readings, exhibitions, and giveaways for all students, staff and visitors to get involved in.

4. LJMU to co-host British Science Festival 2025

   LJMU is to co-host the British Science Festival in the city in 2025.

5. World Mental Health Day 2019

   World Mental Health Day on October the 10th is the annual global celebration of mental health education, awareness and advocacy. Throughout the week starting Monday 7th– Friday 11th October LJMU Student Advice and Wellbeing Services will be delivering a range of activities and raising awareness to celebrate good mental health and encourage us all to look at what we can do to maintain and promote positive wellbeing.

6. UK’s first dedicated housebuilding degree

   LJMU’s Department of Built Environment, in partnership with Redrow and Coleg Cambria, have established the UK’s first dedicated Housebuilding Degree.

7. Reserves Day and Armed Forces Day 2023

   LJMU is marking both Reserves Day (Wednesday 21 June) and Armed Forces Day (Saturday 24 June) as part of its pledge to support the Armed Forces community under the Armed Forces Covenant.

8. LJMU to support 80th anniversary commemorations of the Battle of the Atlantic

   Eighty years on from victory in the Atlantic, LJMU is set to commemorate Liverpool’s contributions to the Battle of the Atlantic, as well as its enduring maritime ties as the university itself marks a significant anniversary.

9. Liverpool School of Art and Design will host its first art-science showcase after being awarded prestigious Leonardo LASER status

   The first LASER session will focus on the theme of faces and identity with presentations on facial skin growth, forensic art and cosmetic surgery.
