   Graphic Design and Illustration alumna, Lauren McLardy has been commissioned to create a new piece of work for Coventry City Council to mark World Mental Health Day 2020.

4. Reciprocal Mentoring Programme involving BAME Staff, Black Students and Senior Leaders

   Given the success of last year's pilot, we are running the LJMU Reciprocal Mentoring Programme again and we are extending it to include BAME staff from across the institution. The programme is open to all LJMU Senior Staff from Director Level of non BAME Background and to BAME staff from non-Director Level and to Black Students from all Faculties.

5. International Pronouns Day

   International Pronouns Day seeks to make respecting, sharing and educating about personal pronouns common practice.

6. Let’s Talk About Race Equality (Debating White Privilege, Micro-Aggressions, Allyship & Active Bystanders)

   The 2020 Black Lives Matter movement, reignited conversations on the subject of race equality, across the globe - The need for positive culture change was at the forefront of those discussions. This workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to address race equality at LJMU and understand the importance of ally-ship.

7. Teaching Staff - Call For Nominations to the Board of Governors

   Nominations are sought to fill one vacancy on the Board of Governors for a Staff Governor (Teaching) for the period 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2023.

8. New social media policy

   The university has launched its new social media policy to help staff get the most out of their communications and to stay safe.

9. Training for managers/personal tutors on disabilities and long-term health conditions, including mental health

   The aim of the programme is to offer LJMU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors further support and guidance, in relation to; operating more confidently and effectively, whilst developing themselves and their staff/students positively.

10. Professional Services Conference 2020 - call for submissions extended

    The main theme of this conference is 'Continuous Improvement: the Art of the Possible'. In response to positive feedback from last year's conference, we again welcome submissions on the sub-theme of Health and Wellbeing.
