1. Apply to study abroad

   Applications for LJMU’s study abroad programme are now open. Students can apply to spend either one semester or an academic year abroad at one of LJMU’s partner institutions across the globe.

2. Staff online security training

   If you have not already completed your online security training for this quarter, you must do so as soon as possible.

3. LJMU first university to be recognised with Cheshire and Merseyside Social Value Award

   The award celebrates LJMU as an ‘anchor institution’ with a university-wide effort contributing to impactful social value across the region.

4. Grad Fest 2019 – event for final year students on 3 April

   Grad Fest 2019 is a new event for final year students at LJMU, taking place on 3 April from 2pm-7pm at the John Lennon Art and Design Building.

5. The ‘Green Hell’ of our ancestors

   Tropical rainforests were once thought unliveable but scientists, including Liverpool John Moores University’s Professor Chris Hunt, are showing that our human ancestors lived in these conditions, and in fact the forests themselves are long-term documents of human action.

6. LJMU announces new honorary fellows

   LJMU will celebrate the inspirational achievements of 17 new honorary fellows in a special ceremony later this year.
