1. In Memoriam: Dr Larry DeNardis

   It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Honorary Fellow, Dr Larry DeNardis, the former US Congressman.

   Andrew Davies, who is in his second year studying a Sport and Exercise Science degree, has completed his mission to raise £150,000 to pay back the hospital which saved his life six years ago.

5. Apprenticeships and Student Governance policy updates

   The new Apprenticeships Policy has received Academic Board approval and 20 Student Governance policies, guidance and pro forma have recently been reviewed, and have received minor amendments.

   World AIDS Day takes place on 1st December each year.

7. 5G technology used in Liverpool

   Margot James, Minister for Digital and Culture, this week visited Europe’s first dedicated 5G health and social care pilot, helping people live independently at home.
