1. Summer and graduate placement opportunities

   A great range of 200-hour part-time (20 hours per week over 10 weeks) and five-month full-time, paid student summer placements are currently available exclusively to LJMU students.

2. Criminology students visit Slovenia for international crime and harm reduction discussions

   Students and staff from the Criminology Department, School of Justice Studies recently spent a week in Ljubljana, Slovenia to discuss crime and harm reduction with a range of governmental and non-governmental organisations.

3. Improving PGT student identity and their experience through understanding their expectations on entry – the findings from an 11 University HEFCE funded project

   The seminar will provide an opportunity for exploration through some of the findings from the HEFCE funded project.

4. Public asked to remember the atrocities of crimes against humanity to reduce the risk of endless age on age destruction

   Director of Service Prosecutions and former United Nations International Prosecutor Andrew Cayley CMG QC FRSA made a ‘call to arms’ as he addressed the audience as the latest guest speaker at the LJMU Roscoe lecture series.

5. Pensions and financial planning support for staff

   A series of support and information sessions will be available to LJMU staff over the coming weeks to find out more about pensions and financial planning.

6. National Eye Health Week 18 - 24 September

   We are promoting the importance of good eye health, sharing important eye care advice to encourage adopting healthy habits and highlighting the need for regular eye tests.

   Sport science experts at Liverpool John Moores University star in this week's prime-time BBC documentary - The Truth About Getting Fit at Home, BBC One, Wednesday, 9pm.

9. TLC 2020 - one week left to submit your session idea

   Submissions are still invited from staff and students and collaborative partner institutions, as well as other colleagues working in post-16 education.
