4. Registration open for conference on decolonial approaches to teaching and research

   A mini-conference highlighting developments in decolonial approaches to teaching and research across the university featuring three sessions of talks and discussion on decolonising pedagogy, assessment and research methods, will take place in November.

   For a couple of years now, we've offered walks for staff, led by Martin Hudson, Lecturer from the School of Business and Management, who is also a Blue Badge Guide in his spare time.

6. Hate Crime Awareness

   Hate Crime Awareness Week is an important time to remind ourselves what constitutes a hate crime and what support is available both on and off campus.

7. Front of class technology support sessions for staff - September 2022

   IT Services Technology Support staff will be on hand this September to offer informal guidance on the operation and use of in-class technologies such as projectors, visualisers, and front of class computers.

8. Researchers urged to share their experiences

   Colleagues are currently running the Culture, Employment and Development in Academic Research Survey (CEDARS) to harness your views, and to understand your experiences and needs as a researcher at LJMU.

9. Staff event at Student Life Building

   Our next staff open day at the Student Life Building takes place on Wednesday 24 November, with networking opportunities, a chance to find out more about the building and its services, plus a free lunch.

10. Pandemic exacerbated disadvantages faced by young people with special needs and disabilities

    Education, mental health, and social care downgraded or, in some cases, withdrawn altogether.
