  1. P60s

    A P60 is issued to employees at the end of a tax year. The tax year runs from 6 April to 5 April the following year.

  2. Payslips

    Your payslip contains important information including your payroll number and your gross and net pay. You can also see your personal tax code and the University’s Tax Office Reference. It’s important to check your payslip each month to make sure that you are being paid the right amount.

  3. Advertising

    The aim of advertising is to generate interest from potential applicants by attracting a sufficient number of applicants who possess the necessary skills, experience and qualifications to do the role effectively.

  4. Interviews

    The main goal of the interview is to establish information on the candidate’s capability to successfully perform the duties of the role and ensure the best person is hired.

  5. Offers and pre-employment checks

    Following interviews, the successful candidate should be contacted verbally to confirm the outcome of the interview and confirm that a formal offer will be issued by the HR department.

  6. Staff Suggestion Scheme

    The staff suggestion scheme has been introduced to give all employees the opportunity to make positive suggestions to contribute to the success of the University.

  7. HERA

    HERA is an analytical job evaluation scheme which has been specifically designed to support the analysis of the roles found in Higher Education.
