  1. LJMU takes handover of landmark Copperas Hill development

    Liverpool John Moores University has taken handover of its landmark new development on Copperas Hill. Contractor Morgan Sindall Construction has reached practical completion of the three and a half acre site in the heart of the city centre.

  2. New EDI Workshops Announced – Domestic Abuse Awareness & ‘Actions Speak Louder’ Allyship Training 

    LJMU's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team are proud to be working in partnership with a number of subject specialists, to deliver a range of interactive (online) staff development training opportunities, including the introduction of two brand new courses; a 2 hour Domestic Abuse Awareness Workshop and a 90min 'Actions Speak Louder' Experiential Allyship (Race) training session, as well as the return of LJMU's 3 hour Transgender Awareness Workshop (back by popular demand).

  3. Student Spotlight: Abbie Romano

    The representations of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) roles is improving, but there’s work to be done. As of 2018, WISE Campaign (Women into Science and Engineering) announced that the UK is on track to have one million women working in the field by 2020. These statistics are encouraging, and demonstrate an improvement in opportunities shown to young women who pursue the career path.

    LJMU, Liverpool University Hospital Foundation Trust and Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital partner with ten European countries to model improved diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation for atrial fibrillation to stroke patients

  5. Funding boost to progress mass finishing technologies

    A £330,000 funding boost will help researchers at Liverpool John Moores University progress their work on pioneering improvements in mass finishing technologies, the use of which is expanding rapidly across a range of sectors including aerospace, autosports, automotive, pharmaceutical, medical device, tool making and general engineering.
