1. International Business Management & Strategy Seminar

   The International Business Management and Strategy (IBMS) research group present a seminar on international business at Liverpool Business School.  The purpose of this workshop is to bring together expert practitioners and academics in contemporary areas of international business to discuss historical and current trends in international business. In addition, to examine strategies for international business in the digital era, best practices and how researchers and practitioners can bridge the knowledge gap. The seminar is structured under four key areas of interest  - social media, artificial intelligence, business solutions and emerging markets. 

2. Simulated evolution of the Universe

   A study conducted by an international team of astrophysicists, including Dr Rob Crain and Dr Ian McCarthy from the LJMU Astrophysics Research Institute (ARI), has emerged as one of the major research highlights of 2015.

3. LJMU leading the way in the use of VR in business education

   Academics from Liverpool Business School have used the immersive learning techniques on modules within the MSc Management and Digital Business programme.

4. Researchers to share their 'Big Ideas' with people across Liverpool

   Hear six quick-fire presentations from LJMU academics as they showcase their innovative research connected to our local communities.

6. New EDI Workshops Announced – Domestic Abuse Awareness & ‘Actions Speak Louder’ Allyship Training 

   LJMU's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team are proud to be working in partnership with a number of subject specialists, to deliver a range of interactive (online) staff development training opportunities, including the introduction of two brand new courses; a 2 hour Domestic Abuse Awareness Workshop and a 90min 'Actions Speak Louder' Experiential Allyship (Race) training session, as well as the return of LJMU's 3 hour Transgender Awareness Workshop (back by popular demand).

7. Gold award for support of the Armed Forces community at LJMU

   LJMU has received a gold award from the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) acknowledging how it provides support to the Armed Forces community.

8. Leading the digital manufacturing revolution

   A unique business support programme, set to power a digital manufacturing revolution in the Liverpool City Region, will be using research and academic expertise from the LJMU Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

9. Mind the GaP!

   Time is rapidly running out for Principal Investigators to be trained on the new Grants and Projects (GaP) system. It has been agreed by the University that any bids for external funding (research and enterprise activity) from April 2020 will need to be set up by the Principal Investigator on the GaP system, so its important that you book onto training ASAP.
