5. Time domain astrophysics

   Within the time domain astrophysics research group, we are involved in major observational survey projects. We work on a variety of explosive transients, including galactic and extragalactic novae, type la supernovae, core collapse supernovae, and gamma rays bursts.    The Electrical and Electronic Engineering Research Centre offer a variety of services to businesses and organisations, including testing and qualification of microelectronic and power devices, simulation and modelling of electric machines, as well as variable-speed drives and power electronic converters.
