  1. Paul Nolan OBE

    Paul is an honorary fellow of LJMU, an award bestowed for his outstanding work protecting and enhancing the natural environment across the Liverpool City Region and beyond. He has worked closely with us to develop our Outdoor Learning Area and to realise our Natural Curriculum.

  2. Sir Bert Massie CBE DL (1949 – 2017)

    Bert was a famous disability rights campaigner, himself a wheelchair user, dedicating his life to advocating for improvements to the daily life of those with disabilities. He was also an alumnus of the Liverpool Polytechnic, later becoming an Honorary Fellow and serving as a governor, while working closely with the university on its equality and diversity policies.

    Your first week as an LJMU student will focus on your academic introduction to the university – we call this your induction week.

  4. Lucy Wilde

    Wildlife conservation graduate Lucy has used the knowledge and skills gained during her undergraduate studies at LJMU to carve out her own unique career as an ecologist and conservation detection dog handler.

    The Reimagining Conflict: Pedagogy, Policy and Arts Group brings together an international consortium of universities, charities, NGO’s, practitioners and artists.

  7. Nathan Bickerton

    Nathan is a digital marketing graduate who now works for a creative agency. Inspired by one of his lectures, he came up with the ingenious idea to create an online profile for entrepreneur Steven Bartlett, who saw his work and invited him to join his team.

  8. His Honour Dr David Lynch

    Dr Lynch has been part of the fabric of the university for over 50 years, as a student, as a lecturer, as the Liaison Judge for the School of Law, as an Honorary Fellow, a mature student and Visiting Research Fellow.
