1. Returning to campus

   Welcome back and happy new year the university has now fully reopened, and we look forward to seeing you on campus.  There are some continuing guidelines we require everyone to observe to make sure we can keep you all safe

2. New corporate charities

   We are delighted to announce our two new Corporate Charities - Claire House Children's Hospice and The Girls Network.

3. We know more about relationships now than we knew before 

   A collaboration with pupils and staff at St Vincent's school and funded by Children in Need Janette Porter and Kay Standing from Sociology, supported by LJMU placement students

4. LJMU celebrates winners of Paramedic Games 2022

   Current LJMU Paramedic Science students, Mathew Keegan, Emily Brown & Naomi Roberts have been named the winners of the Paramedic Games 2022 at LJMU.

5. Fox Street Village

   The University is working closely with Liverpool Student Homes over an issue that has arisen in a property known as Fox Street Village.

6. 'Ask for Martin'

   LJMU and JMSU work hard to support all students who have been victims of harassment and/or assault.  However, the recent reports of increased spiking in clubs and bars in Liverpool and other cities around the UK are extremely concerning and we want to reassure all students that support is available to anyone affected by this issue. 

7. Writing for Wellbeing

   An invitation for students to take part in Writing for Wellbeing workshops.

8. Student sport coach stars in film with refugee football friends

   Sport psychology masters student Ellie Fox has appeared in a short documentary about the inspirational refugee football team based in Toxteth that she has volunteered with for the past three years.

9. ‘Pest’ monkeys save palm oil industry millions

   MONKEYS save the palm oil industry hundreds of millions each year by killing damaging pests, according to researchers in Liverpool, UK.

10. Alumni return to Liverpool Screen School with top TV production company

    Three LJMU Screen School alumni recently visited current film studies students to share their experience of working in TV and film production.
