New, exciting researcher development opportunities will be on offer over the coming months. Available only for limited numbers of researchers, it’s worth ‘saving the dates’.
A new pilot internship programme for first year students (level 4 only) with little to no previous work experience launched on Monday 15 January and close at midnight on Sunday 4 February. There will be no interview process for these opportunities, the Student Futures team will undertake a matching process between participating organisations and students. The internships will begin on Monday 4 March (start dates may vary for each role).

Elevate your career prospects as a second or final year student at LJMU (level 5 and 6) through a paid 'Discovery Internship' with local organizations, offering hands-on experience, invaluable insights, and a chance to shape your future career.
The second round of paid Discovery Internships this semester are open until midnight on Sunday 17 December 2023. Interviews will take place before the end of January 2024 and the internships will begin from early February 2024 (start dates may vary for each role).
Research active staff are being invited, by the LJMU Concordat Steering Group, to participate in a focus group on the research environment and culture at LJMU.
The next assessment period for LJMU students will take place from Monday 22 April to Friday 3 May 2024 (inclusive).
Paramedic Science students from across LJMU have taken part in a two-day event which saw students, from first, second and third year, compete in eight high fidelity scenarios around the John Foster Building.
Further workshops will take place throughout 2024 aimed at researchers and postgraduate researchers (PGRs) to enhance how they manage their research data.
