   The Astrophysics Research Institute (ARI) has won a £1.2m grant from the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), to support cutting-edge research at Liverpool John Moores University

4. More than 100 students take part in 24-hour CPR charity event

   144 students and staff have raised almost £3,000 at a charity event for the North West Air Ambulance Charity.

5. GaP Training - Additonal Dates Available

   Additional training dates have now been made available as GaP (Grants and Projects) training has proved to be very popular.

6. REF 2021 Consideration for Individual Circumstances

   As part of the Universitys commitment to supporting equality and diversity in the forthcoming Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021), we have put in place safe and supportive structures for eligible academic staff to declare information about any equality-related circumstances that may have affected their ability to research productively during the assessment period (1 January 2014 31 December 2020).

8. Residential Success for Children in Care

   LJMU welcomed 25 young people in care to their annual Year 10 Residential aimed at giving the Year 10 students a real taste of life at University.

   This month marks LGBT+ History Month 2022, a chance to shine a light on the overlooked and complicated history of all of the identities and communities under the LGBT+ umbrella .

10. Meet the electric Formula Student team heading to Silverstone this summer

    Intrepid engineering students are hoping to race LJMUs first electric racing car around the world-famous Formula 1 track in July.
