Ruth is one of thousands of mature students to have passed through the doors of LJMU, furthering her own career in children’s care and education after gaining her degree in 2016.
Expertise within The Liverpool Institute for Research in Education spans the following topics: school leadership, children's development, technology in education, sports and outdoor education, teacher's professional development, STEM education, and the theory and politics of education.
Working in partnership with Mersey Forest, LJMU have developed the Natural Curriculum, which is already gaining a strong local and regional reputation. We run a professional practice hub for local schools and have successfully delivered Department for Education/Natural England funded income-generating programmes for teachers.
