1. LJMU and LCR collaboration creates 44 apprentices for autism charity

   LJMU has collaborated with LCR to transfer £132,000 of unspent Apprenticeship Levy to Autism Initiatives, funding 44 new apprentice care workers for the charity.

2. Recent policy centre updates

   Updates and revisions have been made across a range of LJMU staff policies.

3. Alleged Misconduct in Research and Knowledge Exchange Policy now approved

   The policy can be accessed via the LJMU Policy Centre.

4. New Academic Achievement teaching resources

   Each of these resources is a standalone academic skills class accompanied by a full lesson plan with teaching notes.

5. Making Every Contact Count training January

   Staff are invited to take part in a Making Every Contact Count training day on Monday 15 January.

6. Expressions of interest welcomed for multiple Academic Board vacancies

   The Secretariat is now seeking expressions of interest from eligible LJMU staff to serve on the Academic Board and to take up their roles in September.

7. Academic Registry Roadshows February and March

   The Student Governance Team will deliver the next roadshow on Friday 24 February, Redmonds Building 2.33 and Registry Services will deliver a session on Tuesday 7 March, SLB 3.02.

8. Expressions of interest welcomed for Academic Board vacancies

   There are five vacancies available and eligible staff should send an expression of interest for the role to the Secretariat.

   The Secretariat shares with you the latest update which came into force on Monday 4 December 2023, with immediate effect.

10. Data protection related policy updates

    Four data protection related policies have been updated and can now be found on the LJMU Policy Centre.
