1. Reserves Day and Armed Forces Day 2024

   LJMU is recognising both days this June as part of its continued pledge under the Armed Forces Covenant.

2. Graduation review: Thursday 21 November 2019

   Day two of graduation week saw more than 750 students receive their awards across two ceremonies at Liverpool Cathedral.

3. Embedding nature in local planning

   LJMU is training officers from the six local authorities of the Liverpool City Region and the combined authority to understand the importance of putting nature at the heart of local decision-making.

4. College students enjoy stay in Liverpool and university experience

   At the beginning of July, nearly 100 Year 12 students from Northern Ireland, Wales and across the rest of England took part in a three-day residential visit to LJMU to experience all that the university has to offer.

5. Talented young athletes get expert sport science coaching

   LJMUs School of Sport and Exercise Sciences is piloting a unique programme to support talented young athletes in schools and colleges across Merseyside, and its neighbouring counties.

6. JST partners with LJMU to offer mentorships to undergraduate journalists

   LJMU’s is one of six universities, John Schofield Trust (JST) has partnered with to offer 1-2-1 mentoring to undergraduate journalism students.

7. Transgender Day / Remembrance Vigil Liverpool 

   Today is Transgender Day or Remembrance (20th November 2019) - A vigil will be held in Exchange Station 6.00pm onwards

   The National Student Survey 2023 is now under way at LJMU.

   We have entered a new partnership with an award-winning contractor to maintain your facilities across the university.

10. Literacy programme supports Filipino community during pandemic and beyond

    Senior Education Lecturer Dr Judith Enriquez has helped the community of Alapasco in the Philippines to continue to develop their literacy skills despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.
