2. Christmas closure and support services over the festive break

   The university will close at 5pm on Thursday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January. The Student Life Building will be open 24/7 throughout the festive break including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

   LJMU to launch new Mental Health Awareness development opportunities for all staff in January 2020.

5. In memoriam: Dr Jo Croft

   Dr Jo Croft, senior lecturer in English, died of cancer on 15 January. She was a dearly-loved colleague and teacher at LJMU for nearly 28 years.

6. School of Education project inspiring next generation of teachers and students

   Spearheaded by School of Education lecturer, Adam Vasco, the two-year project aims to bridge the gap between school and university to ensure that people of all backgrounds, especially those from the Global Majority, have the confidence and support to choose university study.
