1. Spring graduation 2024

   This April, LJMU celebrated the achievements of 2,678 students who graduated across eight ceremonies at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral.

   LJMU staff assisted Help for Heroes sport coaches and local sports teams to facilitate a range of inclusive and fully accessible sport sessions to a group being supported by the charity.

4. Art on Merseyside celebrated on campus

   LJMU hosted charity Arts Friends Merseyside in recognition of the organisation’s dedication to the arts in the region, while celebrating LJMU's art collections.

5. Scientists deliver sustainable mining workshop in the Philippines

   Dr Patrick Byrne and Dr Emma Biles from LJMUs School of Biological and Environmental Sciences recently delivered a week-long sustainable mining workshop in the Philippines

6. Staff leadership course: apply for CPD accredited Calibre Programme

   Open to staff who identify as neurodiverse, deaf or disabled, or who have a long-term physical or mental health condition

7. LJMU Climate Research Institute

   Staff are invited to attend a second workshop focussed on the proposed LJMU Climate Research Institute. It follows the successful design sprint session held in December, in which colleagues with research interests in the area met to begin scoping out the planned institute.

8. Working in partnership to deliver transgender workshop

   LJMU, in partnership with the Gender Identity Research and Education Society (GIRES), welcomed staff, students and community representatives to an engaging, interactive transgender workshop recently.

9. Connections over Croissants

   Research and Innovation Services (RIS) will be holding an informal networking breakfast event, Coffee and Croissant, at Byrom Street, LIVE Lab in the Peter Jost Building on Thursday 4th April from 8.15am – 9.30am.
