1. Sport coaching expertise goes international in Malta

   International specialists in the field of sport coaching at LJMU visited Malta earlier this month as they delivered face-to-face teaching components of the inaugural postgraduate programme.

   LJMU student Victoria Smith, 24 was shortlisted for the Tourism Young Person of the Year award at this years Liverpool City Region Tourist Awards 2022. The awards, that took place at Liverpool Cathedral, saw businesses and guests from across Liverpool celebrating the city regions tourism sector.

5. Art takeover at Liverpool’s iconic Lewis’s building

   An ambitious public-facing art exhibition CLEARANCE! is now on display at Liverpool's iconic former Lewis's department store building, showcasing the work of MA Fine Art students and graduates.

6. MA Screen School Alumni celebrates feature film on Amazon Prime

   J1S, a feature film by LJMU MA Screenwriting graduate, Jay Cunningham, 44, has been released on Amazon Prime.

7. Art providing a ‘window into the world of the shepherdess’

   Liverpool School of Art and Designs Dr Patricia MacKinnon-Day is celebrated in a new publication that traces a decade of her work telling the stories of rural women through art and autoethnography.

8. New book tracks nursing care in the Soviet Union

   LJMUs Dr Susan Grant has spent the last decade researching and tracing the history of nursing care in the Soviet Union, with her discoveries now documented in a new publication Soviet Nightingales: Care under Communism.

9. Christine Eyene joins LJMU and jury of Turner Prize 2022

   The Liverpool School of Art and Design has welcomed a new lecturer to its ranks, art critic, historian, and curator Christine Eyene. As well as taking up a new post here at LJMU, she will also play an important role in deciding the winner of one of the best-known prizes for visual art, the Turner Prize 2022, as she has been selected to sit on this years jury.
