   Research at LJMU is working on ways of presenting the past and creating content for historic sites and museums across Ireland and the rest of the globe.

3. LJMU partners with L8 community celebration

   On Saturday 25 June, staff and students from LJMU will join hundreds of people at Firefit Community Hub (115 Upper Warwick Street, L8 8HD) in Toxteth for a community fair and celebration of everyone and everything that makes L8 so unique.

5. Students given unique insight into production of BBC Radio Merseyside’s longest running programme

   LJMU's MA Mass Communications students went behind the scenes at BBC Radio Merseyside for a studio tour, followed by an 'in conversation' event with Mike Brocken, presenter of Folkscene, Radio Merseyside's longest running programme.

6. LJMU Wellbeing Week 11th – 15th March.

   We have a full week of activities which draw attention to the importance of wellbeing and provides an opportunity for staff and students to try out new approaches to staying healthy and happy.

7. International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) - 3rd December 2019

   1981 was designated by the United Nations as the International Year of Disabled People and since then, 3rd December has been marked as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The day aims to promote a better understanding of disability issues with a focus on the rights of disabled people and the gains derived from their integration into every aspect of the political, social, economic and cultural life of our communities.

8. Discovery Internships: grad edition open for applications

   LJMU is offering final year undergraduate students (level 6) the opportunity to apply for a paid 'Grad Edition’ Discovery Internship working with a local organisation in the Liverpool City Region.

   A flying visit to North America has helped cement relations between LJMU and Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU).
