7. Royal Television Society Award winners

   Two Media Production graduates won Royal Television Society (RTS) awards for their documentary ‘One Eye Open.’ Ian Garden and Josie Webster came first in the Factual Category at the annual Student Television Awards, held at the Lowry Theatre, MediaCityUK.

   If you are an undergraduate student and are continuing on your course in September 2019, don’t forget to reapply for your student finance as soon as possible.

9. Cave bears may have been adapting to survive the ice age

   Recent research published in Quaternary Science Reviews on the long extinct cave bear (Ursus spelaeus) has found their attempt to adapt to the growing harshness of the last ice age before their extinction.
