1. LJMU Religion & Belief Workshops “Understanding religious diversity of our students and staff community”

   LJMUs Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with Zia Chaudhry (Director of LJMU Foundation for Citizenship), Zane Abdo (LJMU Muslim Adviser/Chaplin), Rabbi Natan Fagleman (LJMU Jewish Chaplain), Hannah Padfield (LJMU Anglican Chaplain), Father Neil Ritchie (LJMU Catholic Chapain) and other external consultants in order to offer LJMU Staff (& Students*), the opportunity to participate in a bespoke, half day Religion & Belief workshop.

2. Could your team offer a work experience placement?

   LJMU’s work experience programme is looking for expressions of interest from staff and teams across the university for a local pupil to undertake a placement within your department.

3. LJMU Student Named in Merseyside's 30 Under 30

   Rio Boothe is one of the Liverpool Echo's 30 Under 30. The article, penned by LJMU Student Journalist Mackenzie Argent, celebrates Rio and 29 other individuals under the age of 30 who are making significant impacts in Merseyside.

4. LJMU and Unite Students host inaugural 'Living Black at University' symposium

   A 'research into action symposium' has been held at LJMU. The event, organised by LJMU Associate Deans: Diversity and Inclusion, explored and shared the experiences of Black students at university and discussed how to turn the research into positive action.

5. Disability History Month at LJMU

   Disability History Month begins today (16 November – 16 December) and our Disabled Staff Network, EDI team and JMSU will be hosting an event on Friday 2 December.

6. Student wows gallery with da Vinci public event

   Anna's public workshop combined two of Leonardo da Vinci's passions of music and art in a workshop that explored how music can elevate and influence art.

7. Construction students top prizes in USA

   Surveying, Project Management and Architectural Technology undergraduates collaborate with peers in US for global professional competition

8. School of Education project inspiring next generation of teachers and students

   Spearheaded by School of Education lecturer, Adam Vasco, the two-year project aims to bridge the gap between school and university to ensure that people of all backgrounds, especially those from the Global Majority, have the confidence and support to choose university study.
