8. Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences awards 2023 research grant to LJMU academic

   Dr Nick Dawnay from the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences has been awarded a £10K in support of a project looking to develop eDNA methods to support wildlife forensic investigations.

9. International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) - 3rd December 2019

   1981 was designated by the United Nations as the International Year of Disabled People and since then, 3rd December has been marked as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The day aims to promote a better understanding of disability issues with a focus on the rights of disabled people and the gains derived from their integration into every aspect of the political, social, economic and cultural life of our communities.

10. Journalism programmes receive NCTJ award for equality, diversity and inclusion

    The award recognises LJMU’s work on diversity and inclusion including the creation of a Diversity Reporting Guide and a planned Diversity in Journalism Teaching symposium.
