1. Can you support Clearing 2024?

   LJMU is looking for staff to help recruit students to LJMU during Clearing 2024 on Thursday 15 August.

2. Transatlantic research partnership in the arts

   LJMU’s School of Art and Design has agreed a five-year partnership with Transart Institute in New York City, which will see the two organisations offer a joint transdisciplinary doctoral programme from summer 2020. The aim of the programme is to create an exchange in research areas including contemporary art, art history, curating and exhibition studies, digital culture and technology.

3. Wonderful week of Bicentenary year graduation ceremonies

   Nearly 5,000 students and 65 members of staff officially graduated this week across 14 joyous ceremonies at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral. The graduates will go down in LJMU history, picking up their accolades in the university’s 200th year.

4. LJMU is one of 24 universities with Race Equality Charter Bronze Award

   Liverpool John Moores University has been awarded Bronze status by Advance HE's Race Equality Charter (REC)

5. World-class status for Sport and Exercise Sciences in new academic ranking

   Liverpool John Moores University’s School of Sport and Exercise Sciences has been named the 6th best department in the world according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) for the Sports Sciences subject area, highlighting the School’s global research influence. The results also show the School ranked as the 2nd best department in the UK and the 3rd best in Europe.

   July marks the celebration of Disability Pride month. An opportunity to raise awareness and have positive conversations about disability in study and the workplace.
