A talented artist who studied at our College of Art in the 1950s and is famously known as the ‘lost’ Beatle having originally formed the band with his friend and fellow student John Lennon.
Sir Brian May, legendary Queen guitarist and astrophysicist, was the fourth Chancellor of the university, a post in which he championed the student focussed approach that is core to LJMU’s vision and values.
Shaun is a dedicated member of the catering team at LJMU and was honoured with the Outstanding Professional Services award at the JMSU Student Experience Awards 2023, alongside the late Colette Dalton, a beloved colleague.

The Faculty of Science Pedagogic Research Group is interested in education-related research within sciences and beyond. The group consists of academic staff from three science Schools and service teams with the Faculty and Registry.
Sarah is an award-winning member of staff and alumni of LJMU. Having completed her degree as a mature student, she now leads the Creative Writing programmes in the Liverpool Screen School.
