    Amnesty International is the world's largest human rights organisation with well over 2 million supporters in every part of the world, each calling for universal respect and protection of human rights and each inspired by hope for a better world.

  2. Gary Blacker

    Gary is a paramedic science graduate of LJMU with over two decades of experience in the ambulance service. He has now made the transition to become a full-time member of staff at the university, teaching the next generation of health professionals. In 2023 he was named as an Outstanding Teacher at the students’ union awards after being nominated by his students.

    LJMU conserves water with metered monitoring, low flush toilets, water-efficient taps and free water dispensers to reduce plastic waste and carbon emissions.
