1. Academic Registry training sessions February to July 2023

   There are still many staff training opportunities available this academic year, through to the end of July 2023, covering a range of topics.

2. Inquiry offers Truth Project sessions to students

   The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse is inviting students to come forward to take part in its Truth Project at seven universities across the country, including LJMU.

3. Front of class technology support sessions for staff - September 2022

   IT Services Technology Support staff will be on hand this September to offer informal guidance on the operation and use of in-class technologies such as projectors, visualisers, and front of class computers.

5. Events and support for disabled and neurodivergent students

   Disability History Month begins this week (16 November- 16 December) and LJMU has a range of events, careers advice sessions and support available for students.

6. Local LGBTQ+ group get creative with The Art School

   Local LGBTQ+ group get hands on in print-making workshop

7. Academic Registry Roadshows

   Informal one-hour breakfast sessions open to all academic staff who want to learn more about the support available to them from Academic Registry.

8. Knitting together different generations

   A special handmade LFC inspired banner was unveiled at the Museum of Liverpool, which has been created by local children and older persons from the areas surrounding Anfield Stadium, as part of an LJMU intergenerational project – the Sustainable Skills Café.

9. Professorship and readership conferment process

   To provide as much planning time as possible we can confirm that the LJMU professorship and readership conferment process for 2023/24 will open from 27 November 2023.

10. Disability and neurodiversity equity: next steps at LJMU

    In recognition of Disability History Month (14 November to 20 December) and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December, we’re reflecting on our progress over the past 24 months to support staff and students with a disability/ who are neurodiverse and outlining our next steps to advance disability equity.
