  1. Centre for Port and Maritime History

    The Centre for the Port and Maritime History focuses on port cities and examines their relationship to maritime ventures and enterprise. Research examines: urban history, British merchant marine advertising, Liverpool and the British Empire in the eighteenth and twentieth centuries.

  2. Roscoe Lecture series

    Since 1997, the University has hosted over 120 lectures encompassing a variety of themes, subjects and viewpoints that make the Roscoe Lectures a symbol of plurality and respect for difference. Find out more about previous and upcoming lectures. The lectures are available to listen to online.
