1. Open Research Week 2022

   Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Liverpool and Edge Hill University libraries are delighted to announce our programme for Open Research Week 2022, taking place from 14th-17th February 2022. There are 8 events over 4 days. All will take place over Microsoft Teams and each session can be booked individually. All events will be recorded; if you are unable to attend but are interested in the content, please sign up and the recording will be sent out to you in due course.

   Students from across LJMU have been recognised at a Unitemps Awards Ceremony this week.

   Young peoples mental health is being tested in this pandemic like never before, according to postgraduate student Shaunna Devine.

8. LJMU relations with Nepal strengthened after researchers meet with President

   Researchers from LJMU have met with the President of Nepal, the Right honourable Bidhya Devi Bhandari, to discuss issues relating to education, gender, women's rights and social justice. Dr Sara Parker from Sociology, School of Humanities and Social Science and Rose Khatri from the Centre for Public Health recently met with the President and spoke for almost two hours.

9. LJMU works with Liverpool City Region local authorities to help more SMEs to innovate

   As a partner in the Horizons project, LJMU’s established relationships are ensuring businesses are supported to generate economic growth.

10. Championing positive culture change

    It was standing room only at LJMU's BAME Staff Network launch held at Sensor City earlier this month. The session, which was chaired by Professor Ahmed Al-Shamma’a, featured a range of enlightening and informative keynote talks.
