   Professor Mary Marshall OBE, director for 16 years of the world expert’s in applied dementia research: the Dementia Services Development Centre at the University of Stirling, gave an architectural lecture which explained why certain designs in buildings can be distressing for people with dementia.

4. LJMU awards Honorary Fellowships to Royal Court duo and former Dean of Liverpool Cathedral

   Liverpool John Moores University has announced honorary fellowships for its November graduation ceremonies.

5. Register to attend the Research and Knowledge Exchange Conference

   All staff are invited to attend the Research and Knowledge Exchange Conference 2023, taking place in December.

6. Championing positive culture change

   It was standing room only at LJMU's BAME Staff Network launch held at Sensor City earlier this month. The session, which was chaired by Professor Ahmed Al-Shamma’a, featured a range of enlightening and informative keynote talks.

7. LJMU becomes accredited Living Wage employer

   LJMU has become the first University in the city and the largest employer in Liverpool to be accredited as a Living Wage employer.

8. Launch of Women’s Professional Services Staff Network 

   LJMUs newest staff network has launched this February with over 70 attendees from across Professional Services attending the event online.

   LJMU Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Weatherill has been recognised by Mersey Maritime for his commitment to securing the future of the Liverpool City Region Maritime Sector.
