1. Tips for moving into your student accommodation

   Maya, a former LJMU student who now works in our accommodation team, gives those all important tips for moving into your new student accommodation. 

2. LJMU is offering students access to IT services off campus like never before

   Do you prefer to study out of hours? Is there a pressing lab report that you need access to? No problem! LJMU is providing students with 24/7 access to IT services off campus. That means you can access Office 365 from your own device and download other software onto your own laptop/computer as well as accessing lab computers.

3. Christmas closure and support services over the festive break

   The university will close at 5pm on Thursday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January. The Student Life Building will be open 24/7 throughout the festive break including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

4. Screen School student hailed at international film festival

   A Screen School student has won first prize at the 2019 Pesaro Film Festival. Taking place in Pesaro, Italy, the festival recognises the talents of established and emerging filmmakers, and confers awards covering a range of areas, including a category for university students.

   A lecturer who built links among therapists and counsellors on Twitter has been recognised for his efforts with a national award.

9. Mike Leigh provides memorable experience

   Liverpool Screen School was delighted to welcome award winning writer and director Mike Leigh for a screening and In Conversation event at Redmonds Building.
