4. Law students win Oriel Chambers Mooting Competition

   Emily Shaw and Shay McSorley beat off competition from across LJMU, The University of Liverpool, Edge Hill University and Liverpool Hope University to be named the winners.

5. Support for care experienced students to be enhanced beyond graduation

   A £50,000 donation will be used to help end the ‘care cliff’ for LJMU students as they finish their studies.

6. Staff leadership course: apply for CPD accredited Calibre Programme

   Open to staff who identify as neurodiverse, deaf or disabled, or who have a long-term physical or mental health condition

7. School of Nursing and Allied Health receives £250,000 from ESRC

   The School of Nursing and Allied Health has been awarded £250,000 from the prestigious Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) for a project which will examine the rights of healthcare practitioners in relation to abortion.

8. LJMU presented with silver award for support of the Armed Forces community

   The university was celebrated alongside other Northwest-based organisations for its commitment to the Armed Forces community at the Defence Relationship Management (DRM) Merseyside Silver Awards 2023.

9. Subject specific Saturday clubs encourage expression and creativity in Merseyside teenagers

   LJMU has launched subject specific Saturday clubs to raise the aspirations of young people in Merseyside.

10. Celebrating 20 years of the Start-up Hub

    LJMU is celebrating 20 years of its Start-up Hub this month which has helped over 1,000 businesses and is estimated to have contributed over £20 million in income to the Liverpool City Region economy each year.
