Gravitational wave science used to search for catastrophic explosion
Researchers at the Astrophysics Research Institute were among the first to use new gravitational wave science, ahead of the recent announcement by the Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory (LIGO) that they had made the first direct detection of gravitational waves.

Register for the Students at the Heart Conference 2024
Staff and students can now register to attend the conference, with various workshops and sessions taking place across the two days, in the Redmonds and Student Life buildings, on LJMU campus.
