5. £575k boost for student mental health provision in Liverpool

   A partnership featuring Liverpool John Moores University has been awarded £575k worth of funding from the Office for Students for a project to further develop mental health provision for students across Liverpool.

6. The Doctoral Academy Conference 2019 Celebrates PGR Activity and Research

   The conference theme of “Community” highlighted PhD, Prof Doc and MPhil Students’ research and activities, both in terms of academic study and voluntary work.

   Over 110 LJMU Scholars, Honorary fellows and alumni came together at a special event in London’s historic Middle Temple last night, hosted by LJMU Chancellor and Honorary Fellow, Sir Brian Leveson.

8. Staff Governor voting now open

   All Professional Services staff have until 5pm on Monday 27 March to vote for their preferred Staff Governor candidate.

9. City remembers disability rights hero and LJMU Honorary Fellow

   Sir Bert was a leading disability rights activist and was awarded his Honorary Fellowship at LJMU in 2002 for services to equality and promoting the rights of disabled people. He also served as a Governor of the university for nine years.
