    The Mechanical Engineering and Materials Research Centre (MEMARC) specialises in fracture and contact mechanics, wave propagation in lattices and microstructures, thermal fatigue and thermal striping, materials development and processing, as well as dynamics and control systems.   9. Joanne Brunnen

    Jo is a finance officer and in 2023 celebrated 35 years of working for LJMU. She’s worked across many different departments during her career, and as the university has evolved. During more than three decades of dedicated work, Jo has made lasting friendships along the way and even met her husband here too.

  10. Razvan Neagoe

    Razvan embraced university life during his policing studies degree, having moved to the UK from Romania and being inspired by a coffee shop customer to work in the world of policing. He was a Student Advocate, supporting others to get into higher education and will now go on to serve with Merseyside Police taking his learned experience, and compassion for others, into his career.
