1. April is Stress Awareness Month

   We have collated various workshops and resources, which we hope will help you manage your stress levels and identify how LJMU can support you.

2. Encouraging more girls to become involved in biomechanics

   In celebration of National Biomechanics Day 2023 (Wednesday 5 April), the Biomechanics Research Group within LJMU’s School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, delivered an exciting, fun-filled, activity packed event with schoolgirls from a Liverpool primary school.

3. LJMU appoints Julia Midgley as Bicentenary year Artist in Residence

   Julia has a long history of connections with the university and will record events throughout 2023 in documentary drawing and watercolour sketches.

4. Academic Staff Governor vacancy

   The Secretariat is now seeking expressions of interest from eligible candidates for the position of Academic Staff Governor to serve on the Board of Governors.

5. Drama students to perform during Battle of the Atlantic 80th anniversary week

   The three free performances will take place on Wednesday 24, Thursday 25 and Friday 26 May at 7.30pm at the John Foster Drama Studio.

6. Academic Registry invigilation training

   Training sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams throughout April and will cover the main aspects of the role of invigilators, including responsibilities prior to, during and following the completion of the examination.

7. Digital consortium success in Vietnam

   A British Council in Vietnam funded consortium led by Liverpool Business School has achieved national reach during its recent launch in Huế City, Vietnam.

8. 135 students graduate from global partner Westford University College

   Over 135 students have graduated this March at a ceremony in Dubai.

9. LJMU Libraries, Sport Building and SLB opening times over Easter break

   The Student Life Building will be open 24/7.

10. LJMU celebrates first anniversary of UK Malaysia University Consortium

    The UK Malaysia University Consortium (UK-MUC) Secretariat based in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at LJMU, together with Education Malaysia London (EML) hosted the UK-MUC Celebratory Event & EXCEL Workshop at the High Commission of Malaysia in London on Monday 27 March 2023 to mark the one year anniversary of the Consortium.
