   The LJMU Start-up Hub is excited to announce that the new Bathgate Boost award is now open! The £500 award is designed to support students who can demonstrate their business idea. Sitting alongside this funding is a package of support from the Start-up Hub team built around developing your start-up and skills as an entrepreneur. The award is open to all current LJMU students and new alumni who graduated from LJMU during 2023.

   This week marks the launch of an exciting new development to our website. A project group have been working with an external agency (Sagittarius) to improve the course search function.

6. LJMU seeks to strengthen partnerships in China

   INTERIM Vice-Chancellor Mark Power has begun a week-long trip to China as the university seeks to strengthen ties with key global institutions.

7. LJMU launches University Funded Diversity and Inclusion Scheme

   LJMU is providing grants to academic staff, students, and professional services staff, to work on research across the university related to Diversity and Inclusion.

   It is with great sadness that the university announces the death of Caroline Chinn following a long illness.

    A project is underway to ship LJMU microscopes to Africa.
