   Our staff networks have been integral in progressing certain policies for LJMU staff, including on maternity leave and menopause.

2. Gold award for support of the Armed Forces community at LJMU

   LJMU has received a gold award from the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) acknowledging how it provides support to the Armed Forces community.

3. 2025 dental plan for LJMU staff

   This voluntary scheme, provided by Unum Dental, is a dental insurance policy that is considerably less expensive than an individual plan.

4. UK lags behind on breastfeeding at work

   LJMU's Dr Danielle Hinchcliffe and colleagues at York St John University found only around a third of mothers returning to work in the NHS reported that their workplaces had a breastfeeding policy

5. Technicians survey 2024 now open

   The National Technician Development Centre (NTDC) Technicians Survey at LJMU is now open for responses until Friday 22 March.

6. Supporting reconciliation in Cyprus through the recovery of war missing

   Families in Cyprus have been able to finally lay their relatives to rest thanks to a humanitarian project involving anthropologists from LJMU who have recovered and identified remains from multiple war graves.

7. MSc student takes on role as Juror for 2024 Eurovision Song Contest

   LJMU Audio and Video Forensics Masters student and Music Producer, Brian Sheil was selected as a juror for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final, which was held in Malmo, Sweden, on Saturday 11 May.

   The headline results from the recent Technicians Survey are now available, along with an outline of our next steps.

   Academics from Liverpool Business School have used the immersive learning techniques on modules within the MSc Management and Digital Business programme.
