1. Students at the Heart Conference 2025 submissions now open

   Submissions for the Students at the Heart Conference (SATHC) 2025 are now live.

2. Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students open for applications

   The second round of paid Discovery Internships this semester are open until midnight on Sunday 17 December 2023. Interviews will take place before the end of January 2024 and the internships will begin from early February 2024 (start dates may vary for each role).

3. Menopause cafes throughout 2024

   This year we will once again host four menopause cafes for our staff, with the first taking place on Tuesday 16 January, and anyone wishing to attend can book via the staff wellbeing events page.

4. Nine funded projects combat discrimination and inequality

   The impact made by nine research projects led by LJMU staff has been celebrated at an event on campus.

5. Themes emerge from inaugural Liverpool Health Commission investigation

   Liverpool Health Commission, supported by LJMU, is currently midway through its inaugural investigation and is able to report a number of emerging themes.

6. Workshops for researchers now available to book for 2024

   Further workshops will take place throughout 2024 aimed at researchers and postgraduate researchers (PGRs) to enhance how they manage their research data.

7. 'The progress, the power and the challenge of police communications'

   Chief Constable of Merseyside Police, Serena Kennedy, KPM delivered the Chief Constable of Merseyside Annual Autumn Lecture at Liverpool John Moores University.
